La Aurora USA will ship La Aurora Preferidos Hors d’Age 2025 LE and Puro Vintage 2016 to retailers in October. Hors d’Age comes in a 5 ¾ x 54 toro ($31.50) and a 6.875 x 40 lancero ($25). Puro Vintage 2016 is a 6 1/2 x 50/60 Salomon ($28).
Hors d’Age 2025 LE uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper and binder with Dominican, Colombian, and Nicaraguan long-filler tobaccos. Puro Vintage 2016 has an Ecuadorian Havana wrapper, a Brazilian binder and Dominican, Colombian and Nicaraguan fillers.
“From seed to cigar, the journey for this release began 12 years ago,” Manuel Inoa, La Aurora master blender, said in a press release. “As a result, we named it Hors d’Age, which is taken from the French cognac designation, literally translating to ‘beyond age.’ Just as Hors d’Age cognac represents exceptional quality developed through time, we set out to create an annual release that reflects the highest level of quality through expert aging and blending.”
