Villiger Söhne Holding AG has appointed Christoph Schüpbach as chief executive officer of the Villiger Group.
He succeeds Clemens Gütermann, who will retire in 2027.
Schüpbach is a Swiss industrial executive with experience at Schleuniger, Regent Lighting, Bystronic, and ABB. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
The board said the company will continue its long‑term strategy under the new leadership, with a focus on continuity, quality, customer focus, and innovation.
Gütermann has held several management roles within the group, including CFO and managing director, and has contributed significantly to the company’s recent development, including during the transition after Heinrich Villiger’s death in 2025.
