The Boutique Cigar Association, active since 2016, has dissolved its board.
“With strong political and economic headwinds ahead, our industry can no longer afford to be fragmented,” President Armen Caprielian said in a press release. “Unity is no longer optional, it is essential.”
It will align behind other industry support groups, including the Cigar Association of America, Premium Cigar Association, and Cigar Rights of America.
The BCA website will remain, as will its quarterly sampler program. “We pray and hope that the premium cigar industry will carve a path that protects all cigar makers, small, medium, large, and multinational,” the BCA said in a statement. “At the end of the day, we are all one.”
