Red Phone Booth has opened a new speakeasy and cigar lounge in downtown Durham, North Carolina.
The venue is located at 125 W. Orange St. and is owned by Durham residents and North Carolina entrepreneurs Dr. Michael A. Thomas and Dr. Ralph K. Mensah. Red Phone Booth Durham offers Prohibition-era-inspired dรฉcor, classic cocktails, spirits, and a cigar program.
The lounge carries approximately 150 to 200 premium cigars and includes an air-purification and ventilation system featuring Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization technology. The company said the system refreshes interior air about every two minutes.
Admission is available without membership. Members receive benefits including priority entry, preferred seating, private tastings, rare-bottle showcases, private-event privileges and personal cigar storage.
