The Cigar Association of America has named Terry Gallagher, Jr. as the association’s new chairman.
Gallagher, Jr., president of Smoker Friendly tobacco outlets, was elected by the CAA board, effective immediately. He succeeds Javier Estades.
“I’m honored to follow in his footsteps and look forward to working closely with our members as we continue protecting and promoting the interests of the entire cigar industry,” Gallagher said in a press release.
The CAA Board also elected the following officers for the coming term:
- Vice Chair: Eric Newman, J.C. Newman Cigar Company
- Treasurer: Carrie Freed, ITG Brands
- Secretary: Henry Roemer, PT DJARUM
