Tabacalera de Garcia is among the sponsors of the Casa De Campo Food and Wine Festival in the Dominican Republic October 10-12. Guests will be able to watch on as professional cigar rollers create customized, hand-rolled cigars from the factory.
Guests can also sign up for a tour of the Tabacalera de Garcia factory throughout the weekend, located minutes from Casa de Campoโs main grounds.
“Guests will experience firsthand where legendary brands such as Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, H. Upmann, VegaFina, and others are handmade, aged, boxed, and shipped worldwide,” a festival spokeswoman told Cigar Snob. “After the tour, guests will be privately driven to Cigar Countryโs duty-free Megastore 15 minutes away, where they will be able to purchase cigars and experience another curated tour of their retail and wholesale facility.”
The festival will feature chef and TV personality Scott Conant along with chef Hubert Keller along with James Beard Award winner Chef Shawn McClain, in partnership with Invited, a private collection of more than 200 golf courses and country, city, and stadium clubs around the world.
โOur inaugural festival was an incredible hit last year, and we are elated to bring it back for a second time even bigger and better than before,โ Jason Kycek, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, said in a press release. โThe Dominican Republicโs culinary scene has been long overlooked, and thanks to our incredible partners and sponsors, along with some of the nationโs hottest chefs from Invited, the second annual Casa de Campo Food & Wine Festival is guaranteed to shine a light on both regional and global culinary talent. This yearโs attendees will be fully immersed with premier food and beverage experiences, top-notch tastings, never-before-seen demonstrations, and an infusion of Dominican cuisine, rums, and culinary artisans.โ
