Padrón Cigars is readying the Legends cigar project honoring José O. Padrón and Carlos A. Fuente, a collaboration between the Padrón and Fuente families, for distribution.
Presented in a commemorative 40-cigar box, one tray features twenty cigars made by Padrón in honor of Carlos A. Fuente, Sr. who died in 2016, and the second features twenty cigars made by Fuente in honor of José O. Padrón, who passed the following year. The cigars are reported to be 7 x 50 Churchills.
The project has had a long lead time. It was first announced in 2020 and made its soft launch at the 2022 Premium Cigar Association trade show in Las Vegas.
According to a press release from last year, “In keeping with their fathers’ tradition of giving, a percentage of the proceeds from the sales of this collaboration will be donated to the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation and the Padrón Family Foundation.”
