United Cigars‘ Red Anchor announces four new sizes for this year; the 6.5 x 43 Gunner ( $20), the 5 x 50 Captain ($20), the 7 x 55 Commodore ($30), and the event only 4.5 x 43 Cooper ($15).
The cigars feature an Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper with Dominican Monte Plata binder and Dominican San Vincente, Dominican Habano ’92, and Pennsylvanian filler. The Red Anchor comes in 25-count boxes. It is produced at Hendrik Kelner Jr.’s Kelner Boutique Factory in the Dominican Republic.
The new sizes join the 6 x 52 Admiral 6 x 52 ($25) which was launched at PCA 2022.
Originally launched in 1772, Red Anchor was created in Holland and last year celebrated 250 years.
“Celebrating 250 years of the Red Anchor with the Admiral vitola in 2022 was very special,” Oliver Nivaud, director of operations for United Cigars said in a press release. “The story and the blend are historic, the additional vitolas are a perfect expression of this.”
The four new sizes of Red Anchor will be available at PCA 2023 in Las Vegas July 7-11 for preferred United Cigars retailers.
