The Rocky Patel Freedom brand introduces a Maduro to the line it produces for distributor Santa Clara.
All of the the third offering in the line comes in 20-count boxes in a 5.5 x 50 Robusto ($5.78/$115.60), a 6 x 52 Toro ($6.35/$127) and a 6 x 60 Sixty ($6.94/$138.80). The Freedom Maduro comes with Nicaraguan tobacco for the filler and binder and a dark Nicaraguan Habano Oscuro wrapper.
The original Rocky Patel Freedom, a medium-to-full-bodied smoke with an Ecuadorian wrapper, was crafted to represent Rocky’s continued effort to fight for the cigar industry’s freedom from onerous regulation. It was followed up by a Connecticut version. Now, the maduro is bringing something new to the brand.
“With the success of Rocky Patel Freedom and Freedom Connecticut, we fully expect the Maduro release to be a big hit with adult cigar smokers,” David Joyce, director of wholesale operations for Santa Clara, said in a statement. “It is specially made for Santa Clara by Rocky Patel, a proven name and brand that should be part of any retail humidor regular cigar rotation.”
