Diesel Launches Second “Sunday Gravy” Expression

Diesel

Diesel’s second installment of the Sunday Gravy line is the Pecorino, a three-country blend now hitting stores.

Blended by AJ Fernandez and Diesel Brand Manager Justin Andrews and handcrafted at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez in Esteli, Nicaragua, the Diesel Sunday Gravy Pecorino features a Mexican San Andres wrapper over a Cameroon binder and Nicaraguan Esteli Habano filler. It is being released in a 5 x 56 Gordo and retails for $4.99.

The medium-plus Pecorino takes its name from the flavorful Italian cheese often substituted for a more expensive variety, again marrying the culinary and cigar world.

“AJ and I had a lot of fun blending Diesel Sunday Gravy Pecorino,” Justin Andrews, brand manager for Diesel, said in a press release. “‘Pecorino represents what he and I both believe is the best of our palates: AJ’s nod to a bold smoke is there on the Nicaraguan ligero filler and my style is represented through the complexity and balance of the Mexican San Andres wrapper.”

The next Sunday Gravy blend is scheduled to be released in January.
