Black Label Trading Company will begin shipping Bishops Blend in Corona Larga and Robusto vitolas, the sixth vintage of the brand, to retailers later this month.
Bishops Blend features an Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper, Ecuadorian Habano binder and Nicaraguan, Connecticut and PA Broadleaf filler. The 6.25 x 46 Corona Larga retails for $11.50, the 5 x 48 Robusto for $11 and the 7 x 42 Lancero, first released last year, for $12. The Corona and Robusto come in 20-count boxes, while the Lancero comes in a 12 count.
Bishops Blend is produced in Esteli, Nicaragua at Fabrica Oveja Negra.
“Bishops Blend boasts big bold flavors of anise, pepper, raisins and a sweet earthiness on the finish,” James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Co. and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra, said in a statement. “As with the past vintages, the broadleaf fillers shine at the forefront and are perfectly balanced by the Nicaraguan filler tobaccos”.
