J.C. Newman Cigar Co. is shipping the first release of 2025 of The American and Angel Cuesta cigars to 105 retailers in 35 states.
The American cigars are rolled with American tobaccos and feature a Florida Sun Grown wrapper, Connecticut Broadleaf binder and a combination of Connecticut Havana and Pennsylvania Mennonite tobaccos for filler.
Angel Cuesta was created a century ago as the official cigar of King Alfonso XIII who ruled Spain from 1886 to 1931. The cigars feature an Ecuador Havana Rosado wrapper with a blend of binder and filler tobaccos from three continents. Angel Cuesta is finished with a pigtail cap.
The American and Angel Cuesta are produced at J.C. Newman’s El Reloj cigar factory in Tampa.
“As we prepare to remember and honor those who have given the greatest sacrifice for our country on Memorial Day next week, I wanted to release some of the finest American-made cigars,” fourth-generation owner Drew Newman said in a press release. “As a 130-year-old, four-generation, American family business, we are proud to help keep the centuries-old tradition of American cigarmaking alive with The American and Angel Cuesta.”
