The Cigar Association of America is honoring South Dakota Gov. Larry Rhoden and state House Majority Leader Will Mortenson for their work on legislation licensing cigar bars in the state. Rhoden and Mortenson will receive the CAA’s inaugural Leadership in Commerce Award for their roles in passing HB 1215.
“Leader Mortenson was pivotal in the South Dakota Legislature this year in working to license cigar bars, and Gov. Rhoden signing the bill into law made a huge difference,” CAA President Scott Pearce said in a press release.
