The Association of Dominican Cigar Manufacturers, or Procigar, announces the Immersive Experience: Santiago de los Caballeros and the Tobacco Tradition, an educational and cultural initiative.
The project teams Procigar with the Ministry of Culture, the General Directorate of Museums, and the Monument to the Heroes of the Restoration Museum.
Through headsets, visitors will experience four audiovisual productions highlighting the tobacco tradition as part of the Dominican Republic’s cultural heritage, the murals of artist José Vela Zanetti, Santiago’s cultural tourism, and the history of the Restoration War, including the connection between the Monument Museum and the Capotillo Cry Monument.
“For Procigar, supporting this immersive experience reaffirms our commitment to Dominican culture,” Litto Gómez, vice president of Procigar, said in a press release.”Premium cigars are an emblem of the Dominican Republic around the world, but they also represent history, tradition, craftsmanship, and national pride.”
The experience will be open to the public as a permanent attraction at the Monument to the Heroes of the Restoration Museum.
