The Association of Dominican Cigar Manufacturers, Procigar, has enhanced its alliance with the Technological University of Santiago and its Más Allá del Umbral scholarship program.
The program originated as an initiative supported by Procigar. It provides training, internships, international experiences, and job placement opportunities.
“This alliance represents a meaningful step forward in strengthening the Dominican Republic’s human capital and future competitiveness,” Litto Gómez, president of Procigar, said in a press release. “By investing in education, we are contributing to a more prepared and globally competitive nation.”
The partnership also highlights the growing role of Santiago and the Cibao region as education centers for knowledge.
