Pangea Cigars has launched as a new premium cigar company founded by longtime industry professionals Ibis Luis and Anna Ayupova.
Luis, born in Havana and raised in Miami, has more than 15 years of experience in premium cigar retail, brand development, and manufacturing. She spent six years as a U.S. representative and brand developer for Plasencia Cigars and has continued to consult on manufacturing for several brands. She is a Certified Cigar Sommelier and Certified Bourbon Steward. Luis was profiled in Cigar Snob’s July/August issue.
Ayupova, born and raised in Almaty, Kazakhstan, brings experience from executive leadership, luxury hospitality, and culinary fields. A Certified Cigar Sommelier and Wine Sommelier, she previously owned and operated a cigar and wine club in California.

For its first release, Pangea Cigars is working with Indiana Ortez of Casa de Ortez.
