La Flor Dominicana announces Apollonia. The project is the first led by Tony Gomez in his role as vice president of blend development and product integrity.
Apollonia ($20) uses filler from The Golden, incorporating tobacco from the company’s La Canela estate. It is paired with the binder and Cameroon wrapper used on Cameroon Cabinet No. 3. The cigar is presented as a box‑pressed Lonsdale.
“Apollonia is, to me, a love letter to cigars,” Gomez said in a press release. “The idea was to capture that unique little moment when you first light up the cigar that will eventually become your cigar. Sometimes you see it coming, sometimes it catches you by surprise, but love is love, and you know it when you feel it. Apollonia gave me no doubt.”
