CAO Introduces Surplus, New Line with a Fresh Price Point

SURPLUS

CAO is expanding its portfolio with the launch of Surplus by CAO, a trio of cigars designed to deliver the brand at a competitive price point. Available in Shade, Maduro and Sweet, Surplus is crafted for the smoker looking to explore premium cigars without breaking the bank.

“With Surplus by CAO, we wanted to create a cigar that gives more people the chance to experience our quality tobacco offerings,”  Cory Beardsley, brand manager, said in a press release. “Surplus brings our blending expertise to a price point that anyone can get behind, whatever your profile or smoking preferences.”

Surplus by CAO features a Dominican Olor filler, an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and wrappers sourced to suit each blend’s profile: a Honduran Connecticut for Shade, a Mexican San Andrés for Maduro and an Ecuadorian Sumatra for Sweet. Each blend is offered in three formats: Robusto, Toro, and Gigante.

Surplus by CAO ships to retailers Aug. 1. Cigars come in 25-count bundles for Shade and Maduro and 20-count bundles for Sweet. Suggested retail price ranges from $45.80 to $69.75 per bundle.
