The Cigar Association of America will be led by Scott Pearce, former executive director of the Premium Cigar Association. Pearce, whose title will be president, will begin his duties May 28.
“Scott is uniquely positioned to grow and bring innovative lobbying and advocacy to CAA,” Chris Howard, CAA board member, said in a press release. “His depth of experience working in industry and trade groups and his most recent experience with PCA provides CAA a leader who is prepared to take on the difficult issues our association faces.”
CAA was founded in 1937 and has become the leading national trade association representing the interests of cigar manufacturers, importers, distributors, major industry suppliers, and supporting members.
