La Gloria Cubana is shipping the 2024 allocation of Corojo de Oro, a limited-edition blend that debuted in 2023. The 6 x 50 ($10.49) features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a filler blend including Brazilian Mata Fina, Dominican Piloto Cubano, and Nicaraguan Ometepe, and Corojo de Oro, a binder created by crossing two Cuban seed tobaccos: the Corojo 97-98 with the Cuban seed Pelo de Oro.
“In creating a new tobacco varietal, our artisans developed Corojo de Oro to be a distinctive cigar that is unlike any other blend,” Cory Beardsley, assistant brand manager for La Gloria Cubana said in a press release. “This cigar is one of those rare finds, and it’s one that delivers on its promise of providing an extraordinary smoking experience.”
Produced at the El Credito Cigar Factory in Santiago, D.R. La Gloria Cubana Corojo de Oro comes in art deco and wood-toned boxes.
