The Boutique Cigar Association has added Pete Shultis, an industry veteran, to its board replacing Jamie DeViese. Shultis is the operations manager of SZ Wholesale. The association has also named Chet King, a board member and general manager of Over the Rhine Cigars in Cincinnati, Ohio, as the board’s vice president.
The current BCA Board lineup includes, along with King and Shultis:
- President: Armen Caprielian (owner of DAV Cigars)
- Secretary: J.J. Jordan III (Owner of Mountain Smoke Premium Tobacco)
- Treasurer: Dr. Gaby Kafie (Owner of Kafie 1901 Cigars / Coffee)
- Dr. Garo Bouldoukian (Owner of Garo Cigars)
- Alan Rouleau (Owner of Alan Rouleau Couture)
In 2024, the BCA, with 55 member companies, plans to take part in TPE, PCA, and InterTabac, showcasing the offerings of boutique cigar makers.
