Foundation Cigar Company is shipping its Highclere Castle Senetjer. Senetjer is now an annual November release of 500 boxes to commemorate the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb.
Highclere Castle Senetjer is a 6 ¾ by 52 perfecto featuring an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with Brazilian Mata Fina binder and undisclosed fillers, packaged in 12-count boxes with a suggested retail price of $33.00 per cigar.
Highclere Castle Senetjer was originally produced to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the unearthing of Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamun’s tomb. King Tut’s tomb was discovered by the famed archeologist Howard Carter and funded by the great-grandfather of Lord Carnarvon George Herbert.
To celebrate the historical find, Foundation owner Nicholas Melillo teamed up with the Herbert family to create the cigar, which comes in a decorative box designed to replicate one found in the tomb.
“There was such an outcry & love for Senetjer that we all thought an annual November release was appropriate,” Nicholas Melillo, owner of Foundation, said in a press release.
