The Alfonso Gran Selección from Selected Tobacco is now shipping to authorized retailers. It comes in 25-count cedar-lined boxes and is available in Exclusivos, a 6 x 54 Torpedo ($47), a 7.5 x 40 Preciosos ($42), a 7.5 x 40, a 5.5 x 54 Estelares ($42), 6.5 x 60 Enormes ($50), and 8 x 50 Grandiosos ($50). It features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Peruvian binder, and filler from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. It comes in 25-count boxes.
The Alfonso Gran Selección is the sequel to last year’s Alfonso Añejo. The final aging for the Gran Selección was done in rooms lined with French Oak, which was also used for the Alfonso Añejo and Byron 1850 lines. “Our experimentation with French Oak aging has led to amazing cigars, ” Nelson Alfonso, owner of Selected Tobacco, said in a press release. “The Alfonso Gran Selección is the next great example of our dedication to patience and exploration.”
