Jim Young, a former Davidoff executive, has joined Plasencia 1865 as interim CEO, and will also serve as an advisor and board member. Mr. Young has been in the premium cigar industry since 2011, including a stint as president of Davidoff – North America.
Prior to his time in the cigar sector, Young spent 24 years in the spirits industry, including roles with Seagram.
Plasencia 1865, like many cigar companies, is enjoying strong growth, and Young will be part of the effort to recruit a permanent CEO.
