Joya De Nicaragua is releasing the Antaño Power Play Sling Puck, a limited-edition cigar that comes in a specially-designed 20-count box ($255.75).
The Antaño Power Play Sling Puck includes a selection of two opposing teams from the revered Antaño family. The 10 Antaño Gran Reserva GT20 6 x 54 Gran Toro and the 10 Antaño CT Toro 5 x 50 come in each box, which also transforms into a playing surface for a game of the same name as the cigar. .
Antaño Power Play Sling Puck has players use a built-in elastic band mechanism to propel pucks towards their opponent’s goal.
The boxes – 1,400 for the U.S. and 600 for other markets – ship in September.
Power Play Sling Puck follows the lead of Joya De Nicaragua’s dice game, Antaño Shut the Box, which also featured a box that doubled as a playing surface.
“Building on the success of Antaño Shut the Box, we learned that cigar enthusiasts are keen to combine their cigars with fun,” Joya De Nicaragua Executive President Juan Martinez said in a press release. “This time we’ve merged the profiles of their favorite Nicaraguan puros into one game, teasing their taste buds with contrasting flavors.”
