Cigar Dojo and Fratello Cigars have collaborated on the limited-edition After BurnR cigar, a 5 x 50 robusto ($10.50) featuring an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and Dominican filer. It comes in 10-count boxes.
The box design shows the combined interests of the two companies, weaving Cigar Dojo’s Japanese/ninja culture design and Fratello’s space imagery, the latter due in part to Fratello owner Omar de Frias’ previous career with NASA.
“Knowing that Omar had a connection to NASA gave us an opportunity to collaborate in a special way,” Eric Guttormson, owner of Cigar Dojo, said in a press release. “My father, John R. Guttormson, worked for Martin Marietta, illustrating some of the early spacecraft for NASA. I think it’s pretty special that we were able to include some of these illustrations on the After BurnR box.”
The two companies have partnered with online retailer Atlantic Cigar Co. for the cigar’s exclusive release on June 23rd at noon EST.
