Bolivar Gran Republica to Debut as Full-Time Line

Bolivar

Bolivar is moving forward with Gran Republica, a new, three-cigar collection named in honor of the South American liberator Simon Bolivar.

In a nod to the role Bolivar played in shaping South America, the cigar features a blend of filler from Colombia, Brazil and Nicaragua, a Brazilian Arapiraca binder and Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. It comes in a 4.5 x 50 Robusto ($7.99), a 6 x 54 Toro ($8.29) and a 6 x 60 Gigante ($8.49). It ships in 20-count boxes.

“With Bolivar Gran Republica, we are continuing to build the legacy of this important brand,” Steve Abbot, director of marketing for Scandinavian Tobacco Group said in a press release. “We’re confident that Gran Republica will be a strong addition to the growing Bolivar portfolio.”

It is produced at HATSA in Honduras and presented in old-world-style wooden boxes, Bolivar Gran Republica will ship to retailers on June 1 and is distributed by Forged Cigar Company.
