Amendola Family Cigar Co. is now shipping The West Side Story, kicking off the occasion with a series of events in New York City at four tobacco shops this weekend. The 6 x 52 West Side Story ($14) comes in two blends named the Switch Blades, and the Baseball Bats, inspired by the two gangs in the West Side Story film. It is packed in 20-count boxes with ten of each blend.Â
The events are scheduled as follows:
-Thurs. 4/13, Merchants’ cigar Bar, 7 p.m. Manhattan with Fine tobacco NYC 7pm
-Fri: 4/14, Barclay Rex, Manhattan, 1-5 p.m. with live cigar rolling by Jeffrey Amendola
-Sat: 4/15, Harry’s Habana Hut, Bayside Queens, 1-4 p.m.
-Sat: 4/15, South Shore Cigar Club, Brightwaters, Long Island, 6-10 p.m. with live cigar rolling by Jeffrey Amendola
The West Side Story is the first in a series of brands which will pay homage to Amendola’s New York roots. The West Side Story was blended and rolled at the Martinez Cigar Factory based in Manhattan.Â
