The Henry Clay War Hawk line is adding a 7 x 56 Churchill ($9) to its lineup, shipping this month. The Henry Clay War Hawk was first released in 2019 by Altadis U.S.A. as a tribute to its namesake, Henry Clay, a Kentuckian who, among other things, was Speaker of the House in the early 1800s and part of a political cadre that drove the House to declare war against Britain.
Winston Churchill also fits the description of a war hawk, albeit in more modern times.
In rebel style, the War Hawk Churchill doesn’t use a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper as most of its predecessors, instead featuring an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper with a broadleaf binder and Honduran filler. It comes in 25-count boxes.
