Alec Bradley Cigar Company is shipping the Double Broadleaf- Experimental Series, the third installment of the company’s Experimental Series line.
The Double Broadleaf features a wrapper and binder leaves of Alec Bradley’s proprietary, first-grown Connecticut Seed Honduran Broadleaf tobacco, with filler from Honduras and Nicaragua. It comes in green and natural wood, dual-tone, 24-count boxes.
Double Broadleaf is available in a 5 X 50 Robusto ($9.85), a 4 x 60 Chunk ($10.50), the 7 x 46 Gran Corona ($11), the 6 x 52 Toro ($11.50) and the 6 x 60 Gordo ($12.75).
The Double Broadleaf debuted at the 2022 PCA trade show in July and was preceded by 2019’s Project 40 and 2020’s Project 40 Maduro. Alec Bradley Double Broadleaf is produced in Danli, Honduras at Tobacos De Oriente.
“Double Broadleaf exemplifies the ‘Experimental Series’ perfectly; it tested our knowledge of agronomy, blending and the market,” Bradley Rubin said in a press release. “In creating the Double Broadleaf, we grew Broadleaf tobacco in Honduras from heritage Connecticut seeds, combined it with other premium tobaccos from Nicaragua and Honduras, and we’re now shipping a flavorful cigar that delivers the extra horsepower our brand advocates have been asking us for.”
