Casa Cuevas Cigars is shipping the Sangre Nueva (“New Blood”), the first Casa Cuevas to be blended solely by Alex Cueavas, to retailers. The cigar features an Ecuadorian Cameroon wrapper, Honduran Corojo binder, and Dominican, Nicaraguan and Pennsylvania broadleaf filler.
The Sangre Nueva blend is available in 10-count boxes and comes in a 4.75 x 54 Robusto ($13), a 6 x 50 Toro ($13.50) and a 6 x 58 Double Perfecto ($14.75).
Cuevas, who was recently promoted to Director of Brand Development and represents the fifth generation of Cuevas tobacco, said in a press release that “Sangre Nueva is a personal love letter to my family, who placed their faith in me to create something from scratch given my knowledge of tobacco.”
