JR Cigar announces the JR Pure Origin: Gran Vulcano, the first in its Pure Origin line that is bringing the brand into the luxury cigar segment. Most customers know JR for the budget friendly JR Alternatives and JR Ultimate.
Origin aims to feature tobaccos that offer a fresh perspective of the brand.
The limited-edition JR Pure Origin: Gran Vulcano takes its name from the use of tobaccos from the volcanic island of Ometepe in Lake Nicaragua in the Central American nation. Due to the ash from two active volcanoes, Ometepe has dark and nutrient rich soil. Cultivated under extreme conditions, the tobaccos create bold, complex and distinctive flavors.
The Gran Vulcano features Ometepe Habano tobacco for the filler and binder, along with additional fillers from Jalapa, and is finished off with a Habano wrapper from the Jalapa valley.

The JR Pure Origin: Gran Vulcano was blended in partnership with Rafael Nodal and Nestor Plasencia. It comes in boxes of ten in a 5 x 50 Robusto ($12), 6 x 50 Toro ($13) and a 6 x 56 Grande ($14).
