Carlito Fuente and Jorge Padrón will unveil a joint cigar project, Legends, at the Premium Cigar Association trade show in Las Vegas on Sunday.
According to a brief post on the Padron website, the cigar line honors their fathers, Carlos A. Fuente, Sr. and José O. Padrón, who were friends and colleagues for over 50 years.
The cigars will come in a 40-count box featuring colors, symbols and photographs illustrating the family histories. Inside the boxes are two trays of 20 cigars. One tray features cigars made by Padrón in honor of Carlos A. Fuente, Sr. The second tray features cigars made by Fuente in honor of José O. Padrón.
The bands honor both patriarchs with family symbols and the words the two men lived by – “Familia,” “Perseverancia,” and “Legado” (Family, Perseverance, and Legacy).
The blend, sizes and prices have not been announced.
According to the press release, “In keeping with their fathers’ tradition of giving, an unspecified percentage of the proceeds from the sales of the collaboration will be donated to the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation and the Padrón Family Foundation.”
