The Montecristo Volume Series is adding “Montecristo Volume 2: The Rendezvous” as an exclusive for distributor Santa Clara. The addition takes its name from a chapter of the novel The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas.
The Rendezvous comes in 10-count boxes in a 5 x 52 Robusto ($15), a 6 x 50 Toro ($16.10) and a 7 x 56 Churchill ($17.30).
It is produced at the Flor de Copan factory in Honduras, and uses Honduran long filler tobaccos, a broadleaf binder and an Ecuadorian seed Habano 2000 wrapper.
“We are proud to bring this latest exclusive Montecristo to Santa Clara,” Rafael Nodal, head of product capability for Tabacalera USA, said in a statement. “The Montecristo Volume 2: The Rendezvous is a cigar as rich in history as it is in flavor.”
