The Espada by Montecristo Signature will show up in select retail humidors starting in December. It was created at the Plasencia Factory in collaboration with master blenders, Rafael Nodal and the Grupo de Maestros and uses a Colorado Claro wrapper grown in the Jalapa region of Nicaragua with binder and filler tobaccos from the Estelí region of Nicaragua.
The limited-edition cigar comes in a single 6 x 55 size, a “Valiente,” for the valiant character each tobacco brings to honor the signature crossed swords that is Montecristo. The medium strength Espada retails for $15 and comes in a 10-count box.
