Southern Draw Cigars announces the Ascension, a Belicoso Fino and the latest in its Jacobs Ladder line.
The box-pressed 5.5 x 52 was produced in 2016 at AJ Fernandez Cigar. The Ascension has a Maduro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler. It will retail for $11.79 a stick, $117.99 for a 10-count bundle, which features artwork depicting “The Ascension,” the dream of biblical patriarch Jacob in the Book of Genesis. Southern Draw’s artistic interpretation identifies Jacob with the obligations and inheritance of the people chosen by God, the origin of the birth name of Ethan Jacob Holt, son of company founders Robert and Sharon Holt.
The Ascension will premiere at Famous Smoke Shop in Easton, Pennsylvania at 5 p.m. on September 23. The event will include whiskey tastings, appetizers and in-store deals on Southern Draw cigars. In addition, Famous Smoke will offer the Ascension to online customers on September 23.
The initial release will send 10,000 to Famous Smoke Shop, then 100,000 more will be more widely available in 2022.
