The list of 50th Anniversary collaborators for JR Cigar continues to swell. The company is joining forces with industry icon Nick Melillo and Foundation Cigars for the release of a new version of Foundation’s first cigar — El Güegüense.
The 6.25 x 46 Lonsdale — one size — comes in a 10-count box with artwork designed by Melillo and Foundation Art Director Alex Garcia. It is produced at the TABSA factory in Nicaragua with a Corojo ‘99 wrapper, Mexican San Andrés leaf binder and Corojo ‘99 and Criollo ‘99 filler. Priced at $13 per cigar and $116.95 per box, the El Güegüense will be available August 17, exclusively at www.JRCigars.com. El Güegüense is Spanish for “The Wise Man,” and is the name of a Nicaraguan dramatic theater piece from the 16th Century. It is one of the oldest indigenous works in the Western Hemisphere.
