Drew Estate Announces the Return of “Pope of Greenwich Village” for Smoke Inn

Drew Estate and online smoke shop Smoke Inn are teaming up to release Pope of Greenwich Village for the Smoke Inn Micro Blend Series of cigars.

Smoke Inn’s Micro Blend Series is a collection of small batch cigars that Smoke Inn owner Abe Dababneh creates in collaboration with some of the premium cigar industry’s top companies. Pope of Greenwich Village debuted several years ago as Dababneh’s tenth Micro Blend Series.

Offered in a 6 x 40 Short Lancero vitola, Pope of Greenwich Village features a dark and oily Mexican San Andres wrapper, a Connecticut Stalk-Cut Habano binder and Brazilian Mata Fina and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos.

The cigar takes its name from the 1984 movie featuring Mickey Rourke and Eric Robert, set in an Italian neighborhood in New York and shot in the Bronx, Hoboken, New Jersey and Greenwich Village.

“ ’Pope of Greenwich Village’ brings us back to our NYC roots in such a clever way,” Drew Estate founder Jonathan Drew said in a press release. ” The Pope of Greenwich Village is a concept cigar which reminds us that the cigar business is not just business, it’s also a lot of fun.”

The cigars will be sold in craft paper 10-count soft packs and their MSRP will be $99.95/10-count pack. They will be available exclusively at smokeinn.com.
