JC Newman’s 125th Anniversary Celebration

J.C. Newman posthumously celebrated 125 years of cigars, an occasion delayed by the pandemic but made up for with a fine turnout of nearly 700 and great cigars. The event was held at Newman’s recently renovated El Reloj Cigar Factory in Ybor City. The company was started by Julius C. (J.C.) Newman in 1895, and four generations later, J.C. Newman Cigar Co. is America’s oldest family-owned premium cigar maker. The event marked the debut of the Diamond Crown 125th Anniversary Toro, which will pop up in limited quantities this year. Attendees enjoyed tours of the factory while a live band, open bar, food stations and some choice Newman cigars were available throughout the single-day event.
