Tobacco Cove opened its doors in 1972 and for the first time, the landmark establishment celebrated an anniversary. The all-day party drew nearly 250 people, who enjoyed specials including 50 cent cigars and half-priced boxes. Door prizes were handed out every 15 minutes via drawing and included cigars, accessories, pictures and signage, donated from the big names including Perdomo, Fuente, General Cigar, Altadis USA, Ashton, Espinosa, EPC, La Flor Dominicana, Oliva and Aladino. Food and beer were gratis for the celebrants, and Tobacco Cove is already preparing for the next half-decade celebration.Â
