After a five-year hiatus, this favorite event of celebrity smokers returned. The dinner and auction brought a Hollywood who’s-who together at the Peninsula Beverly Hills to enjoy a meal by Peninsula executive chef David Codney, raising $100,000 for two charities: New Directions for Veterans, which helps homeless L.A. area veterans, and Cigar Family Charitable Foundation, which provides education and health care for impoverished Dominican families. The event honored 2014 God of Fire Man of the Year: actor, producer, writer and director Joe Mantegna, who does work on behalf of military veterans. He shared the role of M.C. with Jim Belushi.
