Altadis Donates $50,000 to Broward County Virus Relief Fund

As the COVID-19 pandemic takes its toll on Broward county, along with the rest of the world, the United Way sent out a request for community support through these times. With this, Tabacalera USA along with itโ€™s associates such as Altadis U.S.A., JR Cigar and Casa de Montecristo came together to answer the request and donate $50,000 to the Broward community.

โ€œWe share United Way of Broward Countyโ€™s concerns โ€“ and, indeed, a concern shared around the world โ€“ regarding COVID-19,โ€ said Javier Estades, CEO of Fort Lauderdale-based Tabacalera USA. โ€œOur contribution to the United Way of Broward Countyโ€™s virus relief fund is one small way we can help our community as we focus on the safety of our employees, customers and the broader community.”

โ€œWe urge everyone who can to join in this effort,โ€ he said. โ€œWe also remind our fellow citizens to follow the guidance of local, state and federal officials concerning best practices to prevent the spread of this virus.

โ€œOur thoughts and prayers are with our neighbors here in our own community and everywhere around the world who have been impacted by this pandemic,โ€ Estades said.
