Two new sizes for CAO Steel Horse

General Cigar announced that the CAO will be adding two vitolas to its Steel Horse. Both of the new formats are on the smaller side; Handbrake is a 4 ½ x 50 (retail price: $6.99 per cigar) and Roadkill is a 5 ½ x 54 ($7.00 per cigar).

Steel Horse is an extension of CAO’s popular Flathead line. It features a Connecticut Habano Grueso wrapper, with the blend comprising four tobaccos (from four countries) in total.

“Made with a signature flat-head top, Steel Horse was released in 2015 and is known for its easy-smoking flavors of leather and spice,” according to a release issued by General.

CAO Honor cigars to raise funds for surfing warriors

CAO announced that it will donate a portion of the proceeds generated by the small-batch CAO Honor to Amazing Surf Adventures' (ASA) Operation Surf, which is "a program benefitting wounded military heroes," according to a press release issued by General Cigar Company.

Specifically, those funds will go to ASA’s 13th Operation Surf event. It'll start today and end October 19. Twenty four wounded active-duty soldiers and veterans from various military branches in the U.S. and U.K. will take part in the weeklong surfing program led by ASA founder Van Curaza and a team of world-class surfers and instructors.

“This donation will provide the funding needed to hold more surf clinics for our active duty military and veteran heroes, thereby allowing us to continue providing a life-changing experience for them, one wave at a time," said Curaza in General's release.

The Nicaraguan-made CAO Honor is a limited-edition cigar packaged in 14-count boxes ($8.50 per cigar or $119 per box).
